
Intermediate students are those who have been practicing yoga for three plus years. They are capable of doing Sirsasana (Head balance) for at least one minute and are familiar with all asanas.
A good foundation is key to continue the building process. This class emphasizes a home practice. Students will explore various options in performing the asanas . The time spent in each asana and the repetition of asanas will steadily increase. Inversions and more difficult asanas will occur more frequent in classes.
Once we organize ourselves and have confidence in our abilities, it’s easy for dullness to exceed our want to continue on. We face the threshold of stagnation. The yogic term to overcome this Tapas, “self-discipline”. Thus we dig deeper into our practice, diversifying our approach and increasing our study. With patients and grace we fortify our fireplaces to maintain its warmth. and an established place for growth.
